Dorak — Privacy Policy

Dorak ("we", "us") is an appointment booking app that connects customers with local service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely — we never see your password in plain text). Optionally, your phone number and profile photo.

Booking information: the appointments you make or receive, including the service, business, date and time, and any notes or answers you choose to provide when booking.

Business information (business accounts only): business name, category, address, working hours, services, team members, and any photos you upload.

Location: only if you grant permission, and only to show businesses near you and enable arrival check-in. You can decline location access and still use Dorak.

Push notification token: a device identifier used solely to send you booking updates and appointment reminders.

How we use your information

We use your information only to operate the service: creating and managing bookings, sending notifications and appointment reminders, showing businesses near you, enabling check-in, and preventing abuse (for example, no-show trust scores). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How your information is stored

Data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider, and protected with row-level security so users can only access data they are permitted to see. Where optional deposits are used, payments are processed by Stripe — Dorak never receives or stores your card number.

Who your information is shared with

When you book an appointment, the business you booked with can see your name and the details needed to serve you (including your phone number and any notes, if you provided them). Businesses can only see bookings made with them.

Beyond that, we share data only with the service providers required to run the app: Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (push notification delivery), and Stripe (payments, when used). We do not share your data with anyone else.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time in the app. You can decline or revoke location and notification permissions in your device settings. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data, bookings, and (if applicable) your business data are permanently removed.

Children

Dorak is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
